Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero has come out against retired Supreme Court justices who are critical of the high court’s ruling on the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte. He questioned their motives, saying they seem to have changed their stance on the issue.
"Iba ang pangalan ng nasasakdal," he said, referring to the difference in the accused’s name.
The SC ruled that the fourth impeachment complaint against VP Sara is unconstitutional and barred by the one-year ban rule. The high court also found that the articles violated Duterte’s right to due process.
