Renowned jurist and 1Sambayan lead convenor Antonio Carpio has called for the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to conduct public hearings, citing a lack of transparency in their investigations.
Carpio emphasized that even criminal trials are open to the public, and the ICI’s closed-door approach risks eroding trust in the institution.
He urged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to order the ICI to make their proceedings public, stressing that this is essential for maintaining credibility and upholding accountability.
