Despite this, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque wished the opposition coalition good luck, stating that Filipinos deserve a better government.
The 1Sambayan coalition aims to field a single slate of national candidates, including President and Vice President, Senators, and other key positions. The selection process will be based on track record, policy platform, and competence. Retired Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio led the launch of the coalition, which includes various pro-democracy groups and personalities.
