President Rodrigo Duterte has made a stunning claim regarding the ownership of properties in Boracay Island. According to him, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has found that some developments on the island belong to retired Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio’s family.

As one of the convenors of 1Sambayan, a coalition seeking to field a single opposition ticket in the upcoming elections, Carpio has been an outspoken critic of the government’s handling of various issues.
