Carpio emphasized that the ICC has a strict policy of only issuing arrest warrants after thorough investigations and gathering of evidence.

When asked about former President Rodrigo Duterte’s case hearings at the ICC, Carpio reiterated his stance on the importance of upholding due process and following established protocols. He highlighted that the ICC takes its responsibility seriously, ensuring that all procedures are meticulously followed before any action is taken.

Carpio’s remarks come as a reassuring message to those concerned about potential ICC actions against high-profile individuals. His insight into the court’s workings serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to established legal processes and upholding the rule of law.
